The Camarilla is the largest sect of vampires that claims to envelope all vampires within it's umbrella. This is whether or not they do want to belong. As a general rule, any vampire may claim membership to this sect regardless of their bloodline.

Just sometime during the 15th Century, this vampire sect was formed right at the end of the Anarch Revolt. The kindred of vampire clan Ventrue claim loudly to have played an important part in the forming of the sect.

The forming of the Masquerade gave every vampire a way to prevent the Inquisition, which was a church office devoted to the destruction of all supernatural beings.

And though it is the largest vampire sect, only about 13 vampire clans participate actively on its affairs.

The sect perpetually holds convocations which are attended by member clan representatives, they also hold periodic conclaves where every member are invited to join.

Only officers elected by the sect's Inner Circle called Justicars are entitled to decide on issues concerning traditions and they too are the only ones who can call conclaves.

Justicars are elders of great age and are of commanding viciousness, and for this, they are greatly looked up to by other vampires. Generally, the Camarilla do not believe in the existence of Cain or any one of the Antediluvians. And if they ever existed they long encountered the Final Death.

Vampire Clan Ventrue

Vampire Clan Ventrue are rulers and politicians of the Camarilla. They were sometimes known as the Patrician or the Kingship clan.
