The Followers of Set are also known as “Setites”, “Snake Clan” or “Serpents”.
This vampire clan claims to be the descendants of the dark god Set.
Vampires belonging to this clan think that they have a divine mandate of resurrecting Set, their antediluvian to create the age of bliss for vampires.
This goal drives members of the Snake Clan...
They are willing to give everything to fulfill this mandate and because of this, The Serpents seemed a little more different than the rest of modern vampires that’s why they don’t belong to either the Camarilla or the Sabbat vampire sect.
The Snake Clan, though
traveling around the world in search of Knowledge to help them locate
and reawaken Set, are generally found nearby Cairo, in India,
Caribbean, and in sub-Saharan Africa.
Their (mythical) history roots in ancient Egypt, which was the home of the dark god Set.
They are “keepers of secrets”, they know anything that anyone needs to know and they can share these “secrets” for a price.
Vampires of other clans warn each other the danger of trusting the Serpents as they follow an entirely different path from the path of humanity as followed by most vampires.
The Snake Clan follow the “Path of Typhon” or the “Path of Enlightenment” which acclaims the corruption of others.
Those who are stalked by the Serpents don’t really realize it 'til it’s too late.
Once captured, they were either forced to become one of the Serpents or become gravely indebted to them.
Member of this clan burns more easily from sunlight than any other vampire clan.
The Serpent's lore reveals that Set was taken away from his family and turned into vampire by the sun god Ra to punish him for killing the fertility god Osiris.
Ra’s anger caused the extreme burning from sunlight of Set and all of his childer over other vampires.
