Chapter One
Some people see them in their dreams. But I see them in real life. I’m actually talking to one, right now. He watches over me while I sleep, I can feel his eyes, glued to my motionless body. He smells my scent of my blood, and my hair. His hard ice old fingers linger down my side. He wants in taste my sweet candy flavor blood, but he struggles not to do it. I look in his eyes, when I’m awake, and see panic in them. Is it because how hard he tires not to kill me, that he will snap out of it, and leap to my neck, and seek his fangs into my dullness neck? Or, is it, that I will leave him, knowing that I know, he is a vampire, and that I will tell everyone else. . .
My mother decided to name me Fate Lea. What a wonderful name, she thought. Everyone will want my beautiful daughters name. I do like my name, I just don’t love my life.
My mother died, after having me, in the surgery room. My father, well, let’s say he didn’t care, that my mother was going to have me. He lefted her at the age of sixteen, when she got pregnant. She told him, about me, then he ran away.
So, I live with six strangers, I know three of them perfectly. Zane, Nate, and Cerson. Also Shane, the vampire I’m in love with. The rest of the three, they never come around me. And I do not know why. When they look at me, it’s like their looking at a Princesses. Shane says that they are just strucked by my beauty. One of them, just kept on starring at me, the first day I got there. Shane told me his name is Ivory. He was beauty also. His snow white skin, felt like cream. How do I know this, is the other day, when I passed him, he rubbed his arm against my leg. He is just pure. . .
“Her neck throbbing softly in time to her heartbeat, So soft and unblemished, a peach tinted white. He cradled her head and leant over her body, And kissed with lips open - jaws closing to bite.” He was reading poetry to me, by my bedside. Yes, he is a poet. A poet vampire. He reads, but does not write poems. Shane calls himself ‘The Vampire who loves Poems, but whom can’t write them’. But I differ more. He is my poem, my sweet, non-breathing poem. Then, I felt Shane leave my bedside.
When I woke up, Shane was gone. I knew he lefted a note, under my pillow. It says:
My Dear Fate,
I just went out to hunt with Zane, Cerson, and Nate. For a whole week. I talked to Ivory, and he is going to watch over you, when we are gone. Please, Fate, don’t do anything reckless.
Love,
Shane.
Shane is gone for a whole week. I can not live without him that long. But, I do get to spend time with a handsome, vampire. Ivory. When I got done reading the note, Ivory was starring straight at me. I felt slight embarrassed or I just blushed. Then he stand up, and leaned his body over to me. When he got right next to me he was starring into my tree-colored eyes, he did a smirk.
“Fate, I have orders that I’m supposed to take care of you, when Shane and his friends are hunting. And today, we are going outside, in the woods. Won’t that be fun.” He smiled, a wicked smile.
“Your not taking care of me, you are just hanging out with me.” I smirked back.
“Oh, this one likes to fight back. Challenging.” His eyes are like crystal clear, with some blue in it. He is dressing like a preppy boy today.
I giggled.
“What is so, funny. My Fate?” He sat right next to me, leaning closer to my face.
“Oh, nothing. Aren’t you dating Holly?” I asked.
“Well, yes I am. But, she does know that I’m a vampire.” He cut off. “She said all she wanted was a boyfriend, who was a vampire, and to fool off with. But I do not want a girl like that, I want a girl, that is respectful, beautiful, and quite shrucking,” He wiped his hard fingers against my cheek.
I smiled, I knew he was talking about me.
“So, how do you know Holly?” He was trying to talk small talk.
“Well, for one, I go to school with her. And for two she is my best friend.”
“Ah, I see. My Holly are friends with my beautiful, Fate. But she never talks about you.”
I got a slight tingle in the chest.
“She doesn’t? Well, I guess she doesn’t want her boyfriend thinking about an other girl.” I smiled.
Ivory leant in to me, he was breathing roughly.
“You smell good, like strawberries.” He smirked, I closed my eyes.
“And you smell like other clean handsome vampire men.” Then I gave up, and leaned in to his beautiful face. He titled his head so I could reach, no use. He is 6’2 and I am 5’5. His soft pink lips, felling so cold on mine.
I just found my true love . . .
