Chapter One
Some people see them in their dreams. But I see them in real life. I’m actually talking to one, right now. He watches over me while I sleep, I can feel his eyes, glued to my motionless body. He smells my scent of my blood, and my hair. His hard ice old fingers linger down my side. He wants in taste my sweet candy flavor blood, but he struggles not to do it. I look in his eyes, when I’m awake, and see panic in them. Is it because how hard he tires not to kill me, that he will snap out of it, and leap to my neck, and seek his fangs into my dullness neck? Or, is it, that I will leave him, knowing that I know, he is a vampire, and that I will tell everyone else. . .
My mother decided to name me Fate Lea. What a wonderful name, she thought. Everyone will want my beautiful daughters name. I do like my name, I just don’t love my life.
My mother died, after having me, in the surgery room. My father, well, let’s say he didn’t care, that my mother was going to have me. He lefted her at the age of sixteen, when she got pregnant. She told him, about me, then he ran away.
So, I live with six strangers, I know three of them perfectly. Zane, Nate, and Cerson. Also Shane, the vampire I’m in love with. The rest of the three, they never come around me. And I do not know why. When they look at me, it’s like their looking at a Princesses. Shane says that they are just strucked by my beauty. One of them, just kept on starring at me, the first day I got there. Shane told me his name is Ivory. He was beauty also. His snow white skin, felt like cream. How do I know this, is the other day, when I passed him, he rubbed his arm against my leg. He is just pure. . .
“Her neck throbbing softly in time to her heartbeat, So soft and unblemished, a peach tinted white. He cradled her head and leant over her body, And kissed with lips open - jaws closing to bite.” He was reading poetry to me, by my bedside. Yes, he is a poet. A poet vampire. He reads, but does not write poems. Shane calls himself ‘The Vampire who loves Poems, but whom can’t write them’. But I differ more. He is my poem, my sweet, non-breathing poem. Then, I felt Shane leave my bedside.
When I woke up, Shane was gone. I knew he lefted a note, under my pillow. It says:
My Dear Fate,
I just went out to hunt with Zane, Cerson, and Nate. For a whole week. I talked to Ivory, and he is going to watch over you, when we are gone. Please, Fate, don’t do anything reckless.
Love,
Shane.
Shane is gone for a whole week. I can not live without him that long. But, I do get to spend time with a handsome, vampire. Ivory. When I got done reading the note, Ivory was starring straight at me. I felt slight embarrassed or I just blushed. Then he stand up, and leaned his body over to me. When he got right next to me he was starring into my tree-colored eyes, he did a smirk.
“Fate, I have orders that I’m supposed to take care of you, when Shane and his friends are hunting. And today, we are going outside, in the woods. Won’t that be fun.” He smiled, a wicked smile.
“Your not taking care of me, you are just hanging out with me.” I smirked back.
“Oh, this one likes to fight back. Challenging.” His eyes are like crystal clear, with some blue in it. He is dressing like a preppy boy today.
I giggled.
“What is so, funny. My Fate?” He sat right next to me, leaning closer to my face.
“Oh, nothing. Aren’t you dating Holly?” I asked.
“Well, yes I am. But, she does know that I’m a vampire.” He cut off. “She said all she wanted was a boyfriend, who was a vampire, and to fool off with. But I do not want a girl like that, I want a girl, that is respectful, beautiful, and quite shrucking,” He wiped his hard fingers against my cheek.
I smiled, I knew he was talking about me.
“So, how do you know Holly?” He was trying to talk small talk.
“Well, for one, I go to school with her. And for two she is my best friend.”
“Ah, I see. My Holly are friends with my beautiful, Fate. But she never talks about you.”
I got a slight tingle in the chest.
“She doesn’t? Well, I guess she doesn’t want her boyfriend thinking about an other girl.” I smiled.
Ivory leant in to me, he was breathing roughly.
“You smell good, like strawberries.” He smirked, I closed my eyes.
“And you smell like other clean handsome vampire men.” Then I gave up, and leaned in to his beautiful face. He titled his head so I could reach, no use. He is 6’2 and I am 5’5. His soft pink lips, felling so cold on mine.
I just found my true love . . .
Chapter Two
When we walked outside in the woods, it was freezing cold. Me and Ivory was holding each others hands, his felt like a statue, and mine is getting smashed.
“I’m so cold.” I felt my cheeks, and they felt like icicles. So Ivory, took off his jacket, and landed softly onto my shoulders.
“Thanks, I feel very warm now.” I blushed.
“No problem, I’ll always give you what you need. But for starters, it’s kinda weird because, I don’t let Holly wear my stuff.” He looked confused.
“That is strange.” I looked over his shoulders to see the view in the background. “Where are we going anyway?” I asked, very concerned.
“You’ll see very soon.” His blondish brownish hair layer back, and comb very nicely.
“You will see, my darling.” Then I said, nothing else, the rest of the way.
Ivory and I, seem like a perfect couple, but how will I break it to Shane. Or will I ever tell him? If I ever see him again. .
Ivory stopped at a place filled with beauty. Trees, flowers, even lady bugs.
“It seems like a fairy tale. With all of the flowers and amazing surroundings that surrounds it. Ivory knew I was talking about him. He looked deeply into my eyes, watching for an answer.
“But what about Shane? Would it break his heart if he knew that. . .I like you?” Ivory rosed up his eyebrow.
I shook my head. “I really haven’t thought about that one.” I lied.
“Then we shouldn’t tell him. Okay?, or if we do, I will be torn apart, and you might get the blood sucked out of you.” He teased while holding down my shoulders.
I smiled. “Okay, let’s just be friends, right now. Because things are getting confusing every day.”
He shook his head, “Yeah, I think that’s right. But, you have to promise me you go to school tomorrow!” He tickled me.
“Hahaha, Okay, Okay, I will! I promise!!” Ivory, smiled at me while we where sitting on the dirt ground, with him rocking me back in forth.
When we got back to the house, Ivory slapped hands with one of his friends, Nolan, then the other one, Londan.
“Fate, this is Nolan, and Londan. Londan, Nolan, this is Fate. My best “girl-friend.” Ivory didn’t seem like himself. He was acting like a whole different person, holding down on my side, pulling me too him closer.
“Ah, the Fate, we have been hearing about.” Nolan shook my hand.
“Dork!, we’ve seen her for four days already! I’m sorry about him, I’m Londan.” He seemed nicer. But Nolan seemed funnier. I laughed under my breath.
“She likes to laugh too! Ha-ah! She is a very brilliant creature.” I laughed this time also, but it wasn’t under my breath, it was louder.
“Hi, you too.” I turned around to Ivory, he was smiling at me and the boys, from their rough housing. “So, are these things your friends?” I teased.
“Hey, hey, hey. We are not things, we are perfect vampires!” Nolan, is seriously cracking up the jokes. Haha.
“Shall, we go in.” Ivory asked me.
“Please, please.” I teased a soft teased. Then I looked back at Nolan, and Londan. They where karate- chopping each other. I cracked up laughing.
Ivory and I laid ourselves on the soft bed/floor. It felt kinda comfortable. But Ivory looked most relaxed.
“What are you thinking?” He asked me in a whisper. No knowing an answer I just sat there.
He leaned up off of the wall. “What are you thinking about, my dear Fate?” He asked a second time, awkwardly getting anger.
“I’m thinking about. . . About if you write poetry.” I made it up, real quick.
Ivory lent back down to his regular position. Feeling stressed. I could feel it off of his skin, too mine. The heat, well his heat.
“I do some, a little bit.” He fangled with his hands. Then I scooted closer to him, leaning closer.
“Can you read one too me? Please, just one.” I begged.
Ivory sat up, looking undefeated. With his back straight, and his head held high.
“Okay.” He took out a nicely written paper. “Waiting for the sunset Waiting for life. So long to wait. So much to wait for. Finally the day ends.
The world’s mine. Nothing can stop me. I’m the night. There was a time when I was happy during the day and afraid in the night. But that was before I was born. And I started to forget about day, After I was born, there was madness.”
It was perfectly written, word after word. Expressing his feelings, like it really happened.
“Did this really happen?” I asked him, thinking if it was.
He shook his head, his emotion changed from relaxed to scared. Then Ivory slowly laid his head to my shoulder. He was crying.
“My mother died, when she had me. I never saw her. . .” He explained.
“Ivory, my mom died of having me too. I know the pain your going threw. I cried also, with him. Feeling like we are the only two people left standing on earth.
Chapter Three
Ivory, sleeping on the bed, I woke up too the noise of Nolan.
“Hey sleepy head, had a good nap?” He said smiling at me.
