Forever

(Louisiana)

In the night she lay awake,
In the night he crept upon her
She looked at the shining glass
His beauty is all she can see
He takes her to him and kisses her
She knows what he is
She raises the knife,
Ready to strike
But she cannot do it
Her love for him exceeds all things
He hisses as the knife is lowered
His anger, His Pain
But as she pleads for him to understand,
He bites her open
She lays silent and cold
He takes her with him
Through the years
They are together
Forever,
And Ever
