I know it’s an old movie, but it’s my all time favorite.
First of all, I like the period in which the action takes place, part of it at least, the costumes from that time and the story itself.
Also, it has a great cast, just to name Brad Pitt and Christian Slater would be enough. The movie is made in such a manner that it tells a story.
The main character decides to tell the story of his life to a writer and turn it into a book. So, the adventure begins, and it’s a long one, because our hero has lived over 200 years already, so there’s a lot to tell about that.
I also like it because it has a lot of very good scenes a very good script. I like one character in particular, and that is Claudia. She is a little girl that was found by vampires after her mother had died, in search of help.
Initially, our hero wanted just to drink her blood, but she was turned by Lestat into a vampire.
What shocks the viewer here is the contrast between the innocent face and body of a little sweet girl and her true nature after being turned.
Vampire Claudia is a ruthless killer. She will in the end meet a cruel fate, as she will be left in the sunlight by Armand, a 400 year old vampire, as a punishment for killing her own kind, her maker Lestat. She had developed strong hate for him, because he had made her a vampire and she could never become a woman. So, she tricked him into drinking blood from a dead man and then killed him. That is the crime she was later punished for by Armand. With Claudia’s death, all good emotions were lost in our hero, named Louis, and he tries to get his revenge on the vampires that killed her and then flees.
It’s a sad story, because the outcome is not positive, but it’s very captivating and realistic.

Editor Note:
I agree Camelia, the turn of events isn't really favorable to what one would expect but Interview With The Vampire is so far one of the best vampire movies ever produced!
