My Vampire's Heart

by Sacred Blood
(Charlotte, NC)

My vampire's heart is a hungry heart,
In a world of degradation;
I observe the deeds of mortal souls,
That wastes the blood of those forsaken.
'O had they dwelt back in my age,
They'd have learned the price of treason;
Impaled on high for all to see,
The cost of foolish reason.
So here I sit in a lonely room,
Where my past is but a dream;
The days of old have come and gone,
Forever and a day it seems.
But with the setting of sinking sun,
When shadow overpowers light;
The damned will scream and gnaw their tongues,
To my vampire hearts delight!

the way you wrote it, it was like a immortal version of a shakespear poem.
