Of late, vampires have become a favored topic of today's teenagers. I have been through hundreds of books that have vampires in them, trying to see just what humans these days think of vampires.
I was very surprised to find that most of them actually included at least a little bit of truth. When I was thirteen I snuck behind my mother's back and went out of state every other week of the summer.
I went to stay with a family that I had met briefly in person and then kept contact with over the internet. They introduced me to the real world.
Here are just a few facts I learned from them:
- Vampires can sleep in coffins, but it's not a necessity.
- vampires do have a bit longer canine teeth and all but the molars are sharper.
- they can go out in sun light, but if the temperature is higher than 80 they have to smother on sun block.
- they do sparkle, BUT so sutly that you have to look extremely close to see any sparkle. As in have your eye two inches from their skin with the sun shining brightly on it.
- Yes, they are stronger and faster, but only about three fourths over.
- They can either be born a vampire or bitten.
- when they bite, they can choose whether or not to inject their venom.
- mixing blood does help speed up the process of being changed but only when aided by the venom. If just try mixing blood, then it will take two-three weeks to change.
- vampires color does depend on how often they feed. If they wait two weeks they start to get a little pale. If they feed regularly, they usually have some color in their cheeks.
