The year is 1984, and Lestat has stumbled on a copy of Interview With The Vampire.
In response, he starts a rock band and publishes his own autobiography.
His book focuses mainly on his life before going to New Orleans and making Louis, but in the epilogue he does tell his side of the events in Interview.
The Vampire Lestat is an intense, thought-provoking tale of one vampire and his quest for answers. I recommend it to any vampire book lover, even if you don't consider yourself a fan of Anne Rice.
