The Vampire Bloodline Akunanse may have originated from Ghana but are currently widespread throughout Africa.

They are known as frequent travelers in the pursuit of knowledge and that they would embrace anyone who pursuits knowledge, even non-Africans as long as the subject is eager to understand more about the “cradle of Humanity”.

The Akunanse took their name from Anansi, the spider-god from the myths of the “wise spider” of the many African folktales.

They are known for their great knowledge, wise counsel, and non-political natures…

Least-concerned with the Jyhad and are the least-organized of all legacies of the Laibon; their only legacy affiliation with fellow Akunanse is the occasional exchange of information if they ever crosses another Akunanse’s path.

For they are the eternal drifters, leading nomadic lives, frequently traveling to learn more about the origin of humankind.

But the more they discover about the origin of the humankind, a clan weakness renders them to lose more touch with their own humanity.

They have much in common with Gangrel Vampire Clan, specially their weaknesses…

Like the Gangrel, they acquire an animalistic appearance but unlike the latter, they gain theirs through experience; like for instance, if they live in a place for a long time and at the same time, acquire great knowledge, they may “pick-up” a feature of an animal that is a native in the area.

Most other legacies see the Akunanse as foolish and aloof. Other Laibon ridicule their animalistic appearance and believe that they are wasting their time tracking “fairy tales”.

Though most Akunanse maintain control over their animalistic changes and discovery of knowledge there are few who grows overwhelmed with their discovered knowledge that they lost themselves and are turned to beasts.

They follow the Abombwe, Animalism, and Fortitude disciplines. Preferring traditional attire over modern clothing.
