The Vampire Bloodline Mariners are sea-dwelling Gangrel who have mutated into monstrous aquatic beings and who have acquired unique advantages on the aquatic environment.

They avoid both the Sabbat, Camarilla, and even the main Gangrel vampire clan. They consider themselves as "individualists", avoiding all sorts of attachments even from fellow Mariners and even humans.

They rarely practice their vampire kiss, and if ever they do, it takes about a year of observation before they turn anyone into a vampire of their kind.

Even though their main habitat and perhaps their main hunting grounds are the raging waters of the sea, they are still capable of "functioning" on land and most of the time, they don't need any help from other kindred to learn new disciplines such as Obfuscate.

They are keen on helping oil tankers not to sink, not because they want to save the lives of the crew but because they are overprotective of the sea that they don't want spilled oil causing damage to the ocean's ecosystem.

They are considered as one of the most temperament and it shows in a number of physical ways like the notable adoption of sea-animal features, like scales and gills.

The Mariners also have developed the Protean discipline which helps them in the harsh environment of the sea.

Their "Shape of the Beast" adopts an aquatic predator rather than the usual wolf in the case of most members of the Gangrel vampire clan and instead of "Eyes of the Beast", theirs is called "Dolphin's Unsight".

"Feral Claws" are replaced by "Phocidaean Webbing" which enables them to extend their fingers and toes, webbing areas around them so they can easily navigate the ocean depth.

Elders of this bloodline were reported to have even additional strange advanced powers.

They follow Animalism, Fortitude, and Protean.
