Vampire clan Toreador are one of the most beautiful and glamorous of all vampires, considered as one of the stronghold of the Camarilla, it is famous as a clan of artists and innovators.

The clan was founded by Arikel who was a human painter in the First City. She was popular for her paintings - after she was embraced, she painted a mural depicting the past, present and future of the kindred kind.

When Cain saw the terrible future of his kind depicted in her mural, he cursed Arikel with an obsession for the art that she loved the most distracting her from all things.

This curse was extended to all members of clan Toreador. The Toreador was a member of the High Clans during the middle age, made up of poets, actors, minstrels, and painters, same types of vampires that made up the Toreador of the modern nights.

In the formation of the Sabbat, some Toreadors turned their backs from the main clan, forming the Toreador Antitribu - the dark reflections of the Clan.

Aside from vanity, there's one more thing that Toreadors loved more than anything - money... and in the Victorian Age, it did became accessible. They have revolted during this age and this revolution afforded them the thing that only the rich enjoyed, the leisure of time.

Those who have attached themselves with businessmen prospered. The Victorian Age was the time were the Toreadors recognized as true power in the Camarilla. It was said that if the Ventrue was the mind of Camarilla, the Toreador was it's soul.
