Vampire Clan Tremere

(Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines)

vampire symbol vampire clan tremere The Vampire Clan Tremere is one of the youngest clans, having been born only during the dark ages. The Tremere were originally a group of human mages of House Tremere of the Order of Hermes.

When they discovered that their life-extending magical elixirs started to fail due to the growing disbelief in magic, they started looking for other ways on how to extend their lives.

vampire art: clan tremereVampires are immortals so they thought discovering about a vampire's immortality might just be their key to an immortal life.

They captured Tzimisce vampires and experimented on their bodies and blood. They found immortality with the help of the Compte de Saint Germaine.

They became immortals, but then they also became vampires. In the little time that they have been in the vampiric realms, they were considered the most powerful vampire clan in the modern nights.

This is because of their strict hierarchy, Thaumaturgy mastery, and their secretive nature which bred suspicion, fear, and respect from other vampires. The more powerful they become, the more enemies they have.

As soon as their transformation was complete, their enemies popped-up from almost anywhere - The Tzimisce, specially wanted their revenge for their captured members, the Order banned them, their awakened avatars left them, taking their magic with them.

The Tremere deviced the Art of Blood Magic called Thaumaturgy. Tremere, wanting more power for his clan, diablerized Saulot (Salubri's Antediluvian) in his resting place, consumed his essence and gained his power. He then declared his bloodline a full clan, while spreading rumors that the Salubri were soul-stealers, hunting them down to near extinction.

These warlocks were the Pillars of the Camarilla and are one of its main defenders. Some members consider themselves as the evolution of vampirism being free from any curse that the other clans suffer from.
