Vampire games are all the rage for people interested in vampire lore, online gamers, and for vampire themed events. Given that vampires have reached superstar status with the release of the vampire romance novels and films, otherwise known as the Twilight Saga, games associated with this type of paranormal being are more popular than ever. Online flash games, as well as online and in-person role playing games where people pretend to be a vampire are a few of the most sought-after kinds of vampire games.
Games available online that have a vampire theme include vampire flash games. These vampire games range in design from simple animation to full blown anime style characters, and typically involve the gamer hunting vampires or victims to feed vampires. Some of these flash games are related directly to films or books based on vampires, such as the Twilight series. For example, one such vampire game involves the gamer hunting hidden numbers in different scenes from the Twilight films. You can often find free vampire flash games on various websites, but the more advanced vampire games require the user to purchase tokens in order to play online, similar to an arcade game.

The other type of vampire games, RPGs or role-playing games, are more advanced and require more play time than simplistic flash games. Since you are interacting with other players online, your own play depends on the play of others. In order to be successful, you will need to invest time and energy playing these types of vampire games. Three of the RPG games most frequented by vampire enthusiasts are Crimson Moon, Vampire: The Masquerade, and Reign on Blood.
Crimson Moon is one of the newer browser-based vampire games. It also includes werewolves in addition to vampires, as well as hybrids of the two beings. The goal of Crimson Moon is to battle between vampires, werewolves, and hybrids. Joining clans of like creatures allows you to build up an alliance to aid in protection against the enemies.
You do not have to download a program in order to play or purchase a CD, which makes it free to get started. However, during game play, you can purchase Crimson Moon coins that provide you with benefits and advantages over other players. For instance, for a minimum of $5 you can purchase a VIP package that gives you perks, such as ad removal from your gamer screen and ability to bank your excess energy hourly. While you can play for free, the makers of Crimson Moon obviously would like for you to spend some money on their site, so it is of an advantage to purchase at least the minimum package if you expect to play for any length of time.
Vampire: The Masquerade, first released in 1991, is the oldest and most famous RPG vampire games. This RPG was the original role-playing game for the ϋber successful World of Warcraft series. While the original Vampire: The Masquerade was retired in 2004, it was replaced with Vampire: The Requiem. However, due to the original game’s popularity, a 20th anniversary edition was released in 2011. If video games and role playing is not your idea of a good time, you can also play vampire games at home. These are wonderful for birthday parties with a vampire theme, during sleepovers, or for a Halloween party. Here are some ideas to get you started:
You will need at least 24 hours to prepare for this game. The day before the party prepare enough shallow dishes with red gelatin so that each guest will have a bowl. Follow the instructions for mixing the gelatin. Before you place the gelatin in the refrigerator to set up, add a small plastic baby doll, approximately 2 inches long, to the bottom of each dish. Wash the plastic dolls thoroughly before using. For the party, give each of your guests a pair of plastic vampire teeth; you can find these in the toy department, party supply shops, or costume stores. Each guest takes a bowl of the gelatin and, while wearing the plastic teeth, digs into the red mess to retrieve the plastic baby. The first person to retrieve their baby wins.
This vampire game is ideal for all ages, as it requires nothing more than skills acquired at birth--drinking from a baby bottle. Fill enough baby bottles with a red tinted liquid, such as cherry punch, so that each guest has a bottle. For a game that is a bit more difficult, fill the bottles with a thicker red liquid, such as a strawberry puree, or with something that tastes awful, such as red tinted corn syrup. Another way to alter the game play is to get nipples for the bottles that are for newborns, if you want to make the game more difficult, or ones with a larger hole to speed up the fun. The game commences with each guest sucking the blood-hued liquid from their bottles; the winner is the first one finished.
Whether you are playing vampire games as a way to pass the time, such as with video games, or you want to add some excitement to your vampire-themed event, there are plenty of options for vampire games that will keep you or your guests entertained.
